Dieta suplementada com prebiótico, probiótico e simbiótico no cultivo de camarões marinhos PAB
Bolívar Ramírez,Norha; Seiffert,Walter Quadros; Vieira,Felipe do Nascimento; Mouriño,José Luiz Pedreira; Jesus,Gabriel Fernandes Alves; Ferreira,Gabriela Soltes; Andreatta,Edemar Roberto.

Marchand, Michel.
Water and sediment samples monthly collected from Arcachon Bay (Gironde, France) were examined during three years for the presence of marine vibrios. V. cholerae serotype 01 was never detected. On the other hand, the Eyre River and mouth contain non-agglutinating V. cholerae (127 strains) principally in water. The low temperatures slow their development down without stopping it completely. V. parahaemolyticus (257 strains) present in the same areas is particularly isolated from water when the aquatic medium temperature rises to 15 degree C. V. alginolyticus (638 strains) settles the whole Bay, except the river, in any season. The low temperatures promote growth of V. metschnikovii (203 strains) very tolerant towards salinity. V. anguillarum (46 strains)...

Molecular variations in Vibrio alginolyticus and V. harveyi in shrimp-farming systems upon stress BJM
Santhyia,Anix Vivek; Mulloorpeedikayil,Rosalind George; Kollanoor,Riji John; Jeyaseelan,Prince M.J..
A study was performed to investigate the genomic variations in the shrimp farm isolates of Vibrio alginolyticus and V. harveyi when the isolates were subjected to environmental stress. Samples of shrimps, water and sediment were collected from Southern Indian coastal shrimp farms. Vibrio isolates were biochemically identified and confirmed using 16S rDNA and gyrB gene specific PCR. The bacterial strains were genotyped by PCR fingerprinting using GTG(5) and IS (Insertion Sequence) primers. Seven strains each of V. alginolyticus and V. harveyi were subjected to 10 passages through trypticase soya broth (TSB), which contained different NaCl concentrations (3, 6 and 8%) and trypticase soya agar (TSA). V. alginolyticus was also passaged through TSB with a 12%...

Real-Time PCR optimization to identify environmental Vibrio spp. strains ArchiMer
Tall, Amadou; Teillon, Anna; Boisset, Claire; Delesmont, R.; Touron-bodilis, A.; Hervio-heath, Dominique.
Aims: To identify Vibrio vulnificus, Vibrio cholerae and Vibrio alginolyticus using standardized DNA extraction method and real-time PCR assays, among a large number of bacterial strains isolated from marine environment. Methods and Results: Methods for DNA extraction and real-time PCR were standardized to identify a large number of Vibrio spp. strains isolated through regular collection campaigns of environmental samples. Three real-time PCR assays were developed from a multiplex PCR, targeting V. vulnificus, V. cholerae and V. alginolyticus on the dnaJ gene. After testing their specificity, these systems were applied for the identification of 961 strains isolated at 22°C (446 strains) and 37°C (515 strains) in September 2009. The predominance of V....

The use of API 20E for the identification of Vibrio anguillarum and V. ordalii OMA
Grisez, L.; Ceusters, R.; Ollevier, F.P..
Sixty-eight strains of Vibrio anguillarum, five of V. ordalii and the type strains of V. alginolyticus, V. carchariae, V. damsela and V. parahaemolyticus were compared using the API 20E gallery. Within the V. anguillarum strains, distinct groups could be separated mainly on the basis of their reaction on indole production and the fermentation of amygdalin and arabinose. Vibrio ordalii, the former V. anguillarum biotope 2, could easily be separated from V. anguillarum and from the other fish pathogenic Vibrio spp.
